Full-Time Residence Warden – Kwekwe Campus

About the role

The Full‑Time Residence Warden supports the Residence Coordinator in overseeing off‑campus student housing at the Kwekwe Campus. The role focuses on establishing effective residential systems, maintaining tenancy records, and ensuring the welfare of non‑resident students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Residence Coordinator with student welfare and discipline matters.
• Organise meetings with municipal authorities, community leaders, landlords and other stakeholders regarding student accommodation.
• Develop and maintain a systematic database of off‑campus students.
• Liaise with the local community on behalf of the university to support non‑resident students.
• Participate in the selection of sub‑wardens and area committees.
• Negotiate and register contractual agreements with landlords.
• Plan programmes and activities that enhance student life in consultation with the Residence Coordinator.
• Compile and submit monthly reports on off‑campus activities.

Required profile

• A relevant first degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Business Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience coordinating student residences or similar student‑affairs duties.
• Strong record‑keeping and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with community partners and university staff.
