Cyber Security Analyst – Protect Networks & Data

About the role

The Cyber Security Analyst will safeguard the organization’s networks, systems, and data by continuously monitoring for threats, responding to incidents, and improving security controls. The role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and up‑to‑date knowledge of cyber‑threat trends.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor networks and systems for breaches, analyze alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and produce detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Configure, update, and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, encryption, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and coordinate patching with IT teams.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST.
• Deliver security awareness training and guidance on phishing, password management, and safe cyber practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a comparable IT role.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH or GSEC are preferred.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs.
• Security tools: firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint protection, encryption technologies.
• Scripting languages: Python, PowerShell.
