Core Applications Manager

About the role

The Core Applications Manager will lead the development, enhancement, and integration of core applications within the Group Information Technology Department. You will ensure applications follow best practices, meet regulatory standards, and deliver high performance for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, and continuous improvement of core applications.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and system tests to guarantee quality and compatibility.
• Coordinate with IT teams to resolve development and integration issues.
• Implement and maintain APIs and other integration tools.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimization techniques.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through regular audits and assessments.
• Supervise and mentor developers, system specialists, and administrators; set objectives and evaluate performance.
• Provide end‑user training, create manuals, and develop disaster recovery plans.
• Apply design‑thinking principles to deliver user‑centric solutions.
• Manage application development budget, including licensing and resource allocation.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, IT or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in application management or software development.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and industry standards for core systems.
