About the role
The Construction Project Manager (CPM) oversees multiple small to medium‑sized construction projects, such as office and grounds remodels, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Working independently on most assignments, the CPM may also support larger projects under senior guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop project management plans, schedules, and milestones in collaboration with contractors.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and unit‑cost reports; monitor project expenses.
- Negotiate and prepare subcontracts, change orders, and manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Review and approve contractor payment requests, coordinate with finance and job‑cost accountants.
- Ensure onsite work complies with specifications, church standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as liaison among employer, supervisors, local authorities, architects, and contractors.
- Organize pre‑award, pre‑construction, and coordination meetings; manage permits and regulatory approvals.
- Develop and monitor quality, safety, and risk‑management plans; track schedule milestones.
- Oversee project close‑out, including as‑built drawings, warranty processes, and document archiving.
Required profile
- Current and valid Temple recommend (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
