Commercial Manager

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead business development initiatives, drive hire‑purchase loan generation and boost revenue growth. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage a team of loan officers while ensuring excellent customer relations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve growth targets.
• Oversee the generation of hire‑purchase loans, aligning with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with marketing to create promotional strategies that increase loan applications.
• Analyse market trends and customer needs to develop revenue‑enhancing products.
• Monitor financial performance and implement measures to improve profitability.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate a team of loan officers, identifying training needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in a commercial management role, preferably within finance or hire‑purchase.
• Strong understanding of hire‑purchase products and loan generation processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyse data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
