Cards Sales & Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Cards Sales & Business Development Manager to lead a 12‑month project for a leading bank in Harare. The role combines strategy development with hands‑on execution to grow acquisition, activation and spend on the bank’s consumer debit and credit card portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a sales strategy that drives new card acquisition, activation and first‑use spend.
• Create sales enablement tools such as email templates, call scripts and sales‑cycle guidelines.
• Identify and prioritize prospects, manage the pipeline, and support conversion from lead to active cardholder.
• Onboard new customers and ensure they activate and use their cards.
• Develop training material and conduct sessions to raise the performance of the client’s sales team.
• Monitor results, propose improvements and provide regular progress updates to client management.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of relevant banking experience, specifically in cards or card acceptance.
• Proven sales track record in card or card‑linked products.
• Manager‑level experience with ability to equip and coach a sales team.
• Strong client‑relationship management and communication skills in English.
• Based in Zimbabwe or eligible to work in Harare and available to start in September 2026.
