Warehouse Operator

About the role

The Warehouse Operator will ensure efficient and safe handling, storage, and distribution of materials within Sandvik's warehouse operations in Zimbabwe. This role supports the smooth flow of goods to both internal sites and external customers, contributing to overall operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process inbound goods and invoices, ensuring accurate binning and reporting discrepancies.
• Pick, package, and dispatch outbound goods to Sandvik and Ngezi sites, managing allocations and required documentation.
• Maintain real‑time inventory accuracy through system transactions, variance investigations, and support stock reconciliation and returns.
• File warehouse records and process service invoices and Docusign receipts systematically.
• Safely operate a forklift for loading and off‑loading, uphold 5S housekeeping standards, and report defects or incidents.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental policies, conduct pre‑use equipment checks, wear appropriate PPE, and report hazards immediately.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Stores Management.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a warehousing or logistics environment.
• Experience with inventory reconciliation and document management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Forklift Operating Certificate (preferred).
