Stock Controller – Fixed Term (4 months) – Kwekwe Campus

About the role

The University’s retail shop on the Kwekwe campus is seeking a Stock Controller on a four‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on minimizing inventory loss, ensuring compliance with loss‑prevention procedures, and supporting overall store productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce standard operating procedures to prevent shoplifting, vandalism, and other loss incidents.
• Coordinate with all departments to keep stock losses from expiries, breakages, and staff theft within target levels.
• Oversee stock movement controls from receiving through warehousing, merchandising and inter‑store transfers.
• Assist in planning and executing scheduled stock‑take processes and record results accurately.
• Manage expiries and breakages to maintain stock integrity.
• Provide day‑to‑day risk‑management support to store management and suggest corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.
• At least two years’ experience in stock and loss controlling within a retail FMCG environment.
• Certificate in Stock Controlling or Loss Controlling is an advantage.
