Public Law Lecturer – Manicland, Zimbabwe

About the role

The university seeks a qualified Public Law Lecturer to join its faculty in Manicland, Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, and community service, contributing to the development of law students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and seminars in Human Rights Law, Public International Law, International Criminal Law, and Humanitarian Law.
• Supervise student dissertations and research projects.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university meetings, workshops, conferences, and seminars.
• Conduct active research in public law, publishing findings that benefit students and the broader academic community.
• Promote innovation and potential commercialisation of legal research outcomes.

Required profile

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Public Law.
• Undergraduate law degree.
• PhD in Law (completed or under examination) with a focus on Public Law.
• At least five years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within a law school.
• Demonstrated experience teaching public law subjects.
• A tertiary teaching qualification is an advantage.
