Marketing Graduate Trainee

About the role

The Marketing Graduate Trainee will join the Agrobusiness Division of Midlands State University, supporting the Director of Agrobusiness in promoting agro‑products and building the university’s brand locally and internationally. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in developing marketing strategies, managing campaigns, and engaging stakeholders across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Create demand for agro‑products through digital and traditional marketing initiatives.
• Develop and execute brand‑awareness campaigns and promotional activities.
• Support sales targets by planning and monitoring marketing plans and sales promotions.
• Conduct market intelligence, competitive analysis, and identify new market opportunities.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, including customers, partners, and tender processes.
• Supervise and motivate sales agents, merchandisers, and promoters, designing incentive schemes.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing Management, International Marketing, Business Management, or Retail and Supply Chain Management from a reputable institution.
• Minimum five Ordinary Level passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of social media and digital marketing concepts.
• Familiarity with agro‑products and their markets is an advantage.
