IT Intern

About the role

The IT Intern will support Hyatt Regency Harare’s complex technology environment, ensuring smooth operation of property systems. This hands‑on role offers IT students practical experience in networking, systems administration, and help‑desk support within a fast‑paced hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff, including hardware/software configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and training.
• Maintain systems by deploying software patches, performing upgrades, and handling hardware and network configurations.
• Assist with IT projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
• Deliver user support both in‑person and remotely, administering key hospitality software platforms.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals, PC/laptop hardware, and telephone system support.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, willingness to learn, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
