Information Management Associate (UN Volunteer) – Harare

About the role

The Information Management Associate will support the harmonisation of information management systems across humanitarian and development platforms in Zimbabwe. This volunteer position contributes to coordinated planning, data sharing and sustainable information flows for the Humanitarian Inter‑Sector Coordination Group and the Development Coordination Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Support the alignment of information management systems between humanitarian and government platforms to reduce duplication and improve interoperability.
• Consolidate inputs and prepare situation reports (SITREPs) for the Humanitarian Inter‑Sector Coordination Group.
• Facilitate responsible sharing of humanitarian data while linking it to development coordination structures such as the National Development Strategy 2.
• Develop and regularly update a basic Information Management System (IMS) framework for inter‑sectoral use.
• Prepare a Data Management Exit Strategy, including hand‑over and take‑over plans for transitioning data systems to development entities.
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and development planning frameworks.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including UN agencies, NGOs and government bodies.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to produce accurate situation reports.
• Commitment to the UN Volunteers programme and its principles of volunteerism.
