Exchange Control Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Exchange Control Team Leader to oversee export processing activities. The role ensures compliance with Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe regulations, manages operational risks, and provides high‑quality service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Authorize export forms and related transactions in line with regulatory requirements.
• Review export returns and applications submitted to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Monitor export acquittals, conditional approvals, and customer queries to ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare departmental reports and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Design, review, and implement operational procedures, controls, and service level agreements.
• Coordinate risk‑management activities, audits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring corrective actions are applied.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives.
• Deliver training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives on Exchange Control regulations and export procedures.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Professional qualifications in Banking, Finance or related disciplines (advantageous).
• Minimum two years’ experience in an Exchange Control or International Banking environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
