Duty Supervisor (Airport Operations)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Duty Supervisor to lead airport operations on a shift basis in Harare. You will be responsible for coordinating passenger and aircraft handling, ensuring safety, security and service standards are met while delivering a seamless travel experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all passenger and aircraft handling activities during your shift, adhering to checklists, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage safety and security outcomes by identifying hazards, monitoring compliance and reporting incidents.
• Coordinate VIP, MAAS, PRM and other special guest requirements, including flight editing and special handling.
• Liaise with Guest Control, Network Control and SOC to mitigate operational disruptions and maintain service integrity.
• Execute and rehearse emergency response, disruption, diversion and business continuity plans.
• Drive on‑time performance, track delays, and provide accurate reporting and follow‑up.
• Promote ancillary sales, monitor process compliance and achieve related targets.
• Ensure compliance with local authority documentation and reporting obligations.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 5‑7 years of experience in service, hospitality, airline or retail environments, with strong knowledge of aviation and airport policies.
• Previous supervisory experience in a high‑pressure, multicultural shift setting.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making abilities.
