Assistant Compliance Officer

About the role

The Assistant Compliance Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of our Compliance Management Programme, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across Anti‑Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Counter Proliferation Financing (CPF) and sanctions. Working closely with the compliance team, you will help safeguard the organisation against compliance and enterprise risk.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct transaction monitoring and investigate unusual or suspicious activities.
• Support AML/CFT/CPF compliance programmes and perform risk assessments.
• Prepare and submit compliance, governance and regulatory reports.
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and standards.
• Engage with regulators and respond to stakeholder information requests.
• Assess compliance risks of new products, services and initiatives.
• Review high‑risk customer activities and recommend mitigation measures.
• Assist with audit reviews, regulatory examinations and corrective action implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Law, Risk Management or a related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in compliance, risk management, audit or a related role.
• Professional certification such as ICA, ACAMS or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills with high attention to detail.
