Account Executive / Senior Account Executive

About the role

The Account Executive / Senior Account Executive will drive new‑business acquisition and grow existing accounts for Cypress Technology Advisors. This quota‑carrying position blends consultative selling with deep technical understanding of IT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and develop a robust sales pipeline within an assigned territory.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution discovery sessions both onsite and virtually.
• Sell a portfolio of IT solutions including cloud (Microsoft, AWS, hybrid), networking, cybersecurity, collaboration, and managed services.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales engineering, and operations to craft proposals, statements of work, and negotiate contracts.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to secure renewals, upsells, and expansions.
• Engage with OEMs and distributors, co‑sell, and leverage partner programs for margin and rebate optimization.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of outside sales experience in IT solutions, VAR, or technology reseller environments (7–10+ years for senior level).
• Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a consultative role.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory.
