About the role

The Sales Executive will drive revenue for Hyatt Regency Harare by meeting and exceeding monthly and yearly sales targets across rooms, meetings, conferences and other hotel services. The role combines proactive prospecting, client relationship management and close collaboration with operational teams to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for all hotel revenue streams.
  • Conduct professional sales calls using Hyatt’s Driving Customer Preferences philosophy and plan calls with clear objectives.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, features and services and perform extensive competitor research.
  • Pre‑qualify and target prospects, develop effective solicitation strategies and conduct routine telemarketing.
  • Manage allocated accounts, report findings to the Sales Manager and follow up leads.
  • Meet and greet VIP guests, organise sales trips, and conduct hotel inspections for clients and delegates.
  • Establish strong contacts to source information on upcoming events and functions.
  • Identify productivity improvements and implement sales action plans from the marketing strategy.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, records of agreements, contracts and quotations, and ensure proper tracking of booked business.
  • Submit timely sales reports and provide accurate data for monthly consolidation.
  • Collaborate with operational departments to meet guest requests and handle enquiries courteously.
  • Develop and review a personal business plan aligned with the hotel’s annual plan.

Required profile

  • Professional sales approach with strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent product knowledge of hotel services and ability to conduct market and competitor analysis.
  • Proactive in prospecting, telemarketing and managing client accounts.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to work closely with operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Goal‑driven mindset focused on achieving revenue targets.
