Go/Golang Developer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Go/Golang developer to join a confidential, cutting‑edge AI research team on a part‑time contract basis. You will help evaluate and train next‑generation AI coding tools while building robust backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement REST and GraphQL endpoints using a modern Go stack.
• Perform rigorous data validation and comprehensive error handling.
• Execute database migrations and optimise performance of backend services.
• Test and evaluate alpha‑stage AI models in the Cursor environment during intensive 4‑day testing bursts.
• Identify, document, and report incidents, bugs, and edge cases with detailed notes and screenshots.
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack, providing real‑time feedback and insights.
• Complete structured surveys on model usability after each testing session.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Golang developer.
• Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend development best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered coding tools, preferably Cursor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for rapid prototyping, technical curiosity, and thorough documentation without exposing confidential information.
