Paralegal - Quality & Risk Management

About the Position

Join the prestigious Quality and Risk Management team at KPMG as a Paralegal. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Senior Legal Advisor, Ethics and Risk Management, to ensure the highest standards of professional conduct and regulatory compliance within the Canadian legal framework.

Main Missions

• Support the Senior Legal Advisor on complex projects related to Canadian legal profession regulations.
• Manage and oversee critical areas including ethics, conflicts of interest, and contingency fee agreements.
• Handle sensitive legal administrative tasks such as privilege management, trust accounts, and client identification (KYC).
• Maintain and update practice management resources to ensure operational excellence.
• Collaborate closely with conflict resolvers to mitigate organizational risks.
• Prepare professional presentations, legal memos, and manage compliance processes during lawyer onboarding and offboarding.

Profile Required

• Strong understanding of legal ethics and risk management principles.
• Proven experience in a legal support role, preferably within a professional services or corporate environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance workflows simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
