Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all guest and hotel laundry is processed quickly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of cleanliness. Working within the Avani Victoria Falls Resort, you will play a vital part in maintaining guest satisfaction through reliable linen and garment services.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and process guest laundry and hotel linen according to SOPs and item-specific requirements.
• Operate laundry machines safely, respecting weight limits and operating instructions.
• Separate items by colour, use, and cleaning method (wash, dry‑clean, press) and route them to the appropriate department.
• Inspect processed laundry before delivery to ensure proper cleaning and presentation.
• Deliver laundry to guest rooms while respecting ‘Do Not Disturb’ preferences.
• Maintain accurate billing information and provide it to the cashiering department each shift.
• Handle chemicals safely, storing and using them according to safety guidelines.
• Assist colleagues with additional duties and any other hotel tasks as assigned.
